Val Edward Kilmer was an American actor, who was best known for his roles as LT/ADM Tom "Iceman" Kazansky in the 1986 action drama film Top Gun, Jim Morrison in the 1991 biographical musical film The Doors, and Bruce Wayne/Batman in the 1995 live-action film Batman Forever (replacing Michael Keaton). He also voiced Moses and God in the 1998 DreamWorks animated film The Prince of Egypt. He reprised his role as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky for the 2022 film Top Gun: Maverick, which was his final role before his death.
He passed away in 2025 from pneumonia, after suffering from throat cancer for 10 years.
