Tito Lopez is the tritagonist in the 2013 DreamWorks movie Turbo, and its spin-off series Turbo FAST.
He is a Dos Bros taco truck driver along with his brother, Angelo Lopez. Tito befriends Turbo.
Tito has been known to not be at work typically according to Angelo when he was disgruntled that Tito was snail racing again.
One night Tito runs into Theo and his brother Chet and captures them both for a snail race near his workplace. This very same snail race caused his brother Angelo to become disgruntled revealing that Tito has done similar off-task behavior before.
When Tito reveals to his brother that he wants to enter the snail into the Indy 500, Angelo brings up Tito's past ideas as having been crazy, but not as crazy as entering a snail into the Indy 500. Angelo ends up not supporting Tito, so Tito decides to go to the Indy 500 with his nearby friends/workers at the strip mall near his workplace who provided him with some of the funds needed to participate. The rest of the funds were taken from their restaurant Dos Bros, presumably, by Tito. This prompted Angelo to repeatedly call him throughout his trip to and during the Indy 500, to no avail.
After the race, Tito provided Theo with a new shell and his brother with a new cooking range that was even capable of speech surprising Angelo.
At the end of the film, their workplace was now full of customers waiting to eat and see the racing snails' performance.
In the TV series, he often appears in the episodes.
Personality[]
Tito is a taco seller who is a dreamer like Theo (Turbo). He befriends Theo after seeing how fast he is and believes that Theo can save the business by winning the Indy 500.
Tito has a personality very similar to that of Turbo (Theo): a slightly wacky and helpful dreamer. Tito can be very kind and creative in many ways, although his brother, Angelo, is against this.
Initially he seemed to have bad intentions, kidnapping Theo and Chet, when in reality he wanted them to go racing with other snails. He becomes fast friends with Theo/Turbo after seeing him with his super speed.
Background[]
Tito lives with his grumpy older brother, Angelo in "Starlight Plaza" station, at their familiar taco-restaurant; as the older brother Angelo does the main management; makes tacos, but because of many client-less days Tito sells tacos, by driving truck trough whole town (although that the business still doesn't work)... In his boring life, Tito is playing a gambling game; "snail races" along with his friends on plaza... anyway, one day, while searching for the snails for this game, he accidentally finds a mutated garden-snail (Theo/Turbo), with his plump brother (Chet), who've just defeated deadly Crows; and kidnaps them, by covering them with plastic cup after bringing them on race and seeing Turbo's super-speed power he's seemingly shocked and already thinks about future plans on this snail, but after Angelo finds out that he wasn't selling tacos and was collecting snails for his game, he just freaks out on Tito and after long moralistic speech, Tito finally tells him about his plans... Angelo just says no to his idea, because he was supporting his younger dreaming brother's plans very long time and all of them was failure; like: Dos Bros Tacos and sushi, Dos Bros Tacos; a monkey petting zoo and even Tacoman and his sidekick the Churo.
