Sing 3 is a working title for the third movie in the Sing franchise. It was confirmed as being "deep into development" by Chris Meledandri on April 4, 2023 in an interview with Variety.
Among the topics discussed was the third Sing movie. Meledandri said, "It will involve characters from the original cast, but it will take us into a new world." Though Sing 2 didn't do as well as hoped at the box office due to the spread of the omicron COVID variant, it was the third highest-streamed movie in the U.S. in 2022 and was streamed over 80 million times on Netflix. This led Illumination to look past the box office results and saw that it being a streaming success meant "fans want to stay in this world with these characters."[1]
