SOS

"SOS" is a song that is featured in the 2008 live-action feature film, Mamma Mia!. In the film, it is sung by Meryl Streep as Donna Sheridan, a former singer and single mother who runs a hotel on a Greek island. She sings it after finding out that her daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) has invited three men to her wedding, one of whom could be Sophie's father. Donna is shocked and hurt to see her old lovers again, especially Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan), who broke her heart when he left her for another woman. The song expresses Donna's mixed feelings of love and pain towards Sam, as well as her regret for letting him go.
