Imelda is Puss' adoptive human mother. When he was a kitten traveling in basket because of the wind which would lead him to the orphanage of San Ricardo, Imelda found him outside and took him in with all the other orphans at the orphanage.
Humpty Alexander Dumpty[]

Humpty was Puss' childhood best friend and adoptive brother and the one who gave him the name "Puss". They first met each other at the orphanage, and when Humpty was bullied by the other orphans, Puss defends him and the duo forms a strong friendship and worked together on finding the magic beans in order to find The Golden Goose that poops Golden Eggs. Growing up, they became partners-in-crime, but when Puss was hailed a hero for saving the Comandante's mother from a bull that Humpty accidentally released, and decide to stop stealing, only for Humpty to lying to him about being in trouble so they could rob the banks, which causes Puss to abandon Humpty on the bridge and flee San Ricardo to avoid imprisonment, which also causes Humpty to get revenge on Puss by hiring Jack and Jill to find the beans. However, Humpty seemed to still care for his relationship with Puss after he was arrested and sent to a lifelong jail, soon made up with him who asked for his help to save San Ricardo from the Great Terror. When they were at the bridge again, Humpty sacrificed his life which would let the golden egg out, with Puss mourning over his death and bid a farewell to him after the The Great Terror and the Golden Goose returned to the Beanstalk.
