Role in the film[]
In the film, she rides vehicles with the other Vicious 6, clashes with the minions and Wild Knuckles as well as the Anti-Villain League. She also turns into a cobra-like monster using the Zodiac Stone. She was next seen in Asia driving one of the villains levitating vehicle. After Belle taunted Wild Knuckles for being kicked out, she joined in.
She and the other villains next appeared in their lair during Gru's interview. She and the other villains joined in on a laugh while Belle made fun of him. When the villain Wind Man came in to try out, his jetpack machine went crazy. Nun-chuck prayed while the other six helped Belle lasso the man down. Gru took this time while they were distracted to steal the stone, causing them all to go after him. She and Jean-Clawed spotted him soon after he escaped the store, her holding a cross up to Try and calling him a demon child. Stronghold saw him too and threw a car, missing Gru but hitting the Nun. She had also thrown her nunchucks, which hit Stronghold in the face. She was able to crawl out mostly unscathed.
She and the other villains were next seen all getting into their own individual cars that they would use to pursue Gru. Her vehicle appeared to be blue and stylized after a church organ. They used their vehicles to arrive at Gru's house, where they were met with Gru's mother. Gru's mother threw a piece of tupperware at Nun-Chuck, and so the nun followed her into the kitchen while the other villains interrogated. After some interrogating, they learned where Gru was, so they left. Nun-Chuck was levitated out of the building by a holy light. Soon after being lifted out, it was revealed that she tied Gru's mother up with ropes.
They all appeared again in San Francisco while invading Wild Knuckles home with their machines. After finding nothing, they left. They eventually found Gru at the Chinese New Year festival that was taking place that night. Nun-Chuck stood in Gru's way and kept him from going any further. After capturing Gru, they took the stone, but at the same time were confronted with the Anti-Villain League. Just then the clock stuck twelve, and Belle embedded herself and the other villains with the gem's power. Nun-Chuck turned into a snake-like creature while the others turned into their respective beasts. They all reconvened when Wild Knuckles appeared.
During the fight, Nun-Chuck went after the Minion that had been turned into a chicken. She eventually caught him and tied him up. The Minion used his "Inner Beast" ability to fire eggs at her, except for one of them splattering across her face. The one that survived hatched, and Nun-Chuck ate it. It was soon after kicked out of her mouth. As he lay in agony, Belle ordered everyone to destroy Gru, and so they all prepared to pounce. Just then, all the Minions used their abilities to create a force to push them all back, allowing Gru to grab the stone. Once he did, he turned them all into rats. In the end, they were all arrested by the Anti-Villain League.
A lot of years later until the events of Despicable Me series, Nun-Chuck may have died of natural causes during imprisonment before the present time due to her old age.
Trivia[]
- Nun-Chuck's name is a combination with the word nun, a devoted female Christian, and the word nunchuck, the weapon she wields.
- Being a giant snake with glasses, it's likely a reference to the indian cobra's nickname spectacled cobra.
- Minions: Rise of Gru got banned in Lebanon, because a nun was depicted as a villain in the film.
