Biography[]
Kaltag is a sled dog which he spends most of his time being. After he is done, he hangs out with Star and Nikki and sometimes with Steele. When Steele is bullying Balto, Star, Nikki and Kaltag join the scene and bully Balto alongside Steele. Little does Steele know that Star, Nikki and Kaltag talk behind his back. Kaltag is seen again when they have to race to see who's the fastest and is shocked to realize that Balto is there unannounced. He tries to warn him, but Nikki somewhat offers him a chance. Later, he and the team set off for the medicine which they succeed, but Star later realizes that they are lost. Steele refuses to listen to him and Star admits that they are just going in circles, but is overconfident and charges to a different direction, only to get stuck for awhile.
When Balto finds them, everyone is shocked, but when Balto tries to help, Steele refuses. Kaltag is bet by Nikki that if Steele wins, then he'll owe him bones. When Steele hurts Balto, they comment on what's happening, but they are shocked to see Steele acting so violent and Star is confused why Steele doesn't want Balto's help. After Steele falls from the ravine, Star happily lets Balto be lead dog and Balto leads the team to Nome, but Steele vandalizes the marks to get Balto and the sled team lost. After Balto makes a stop, Kaltag asks him which way to go and Balto chooses another path, but ends up where they just were. Kaltag tells him to stop going in circles and tries to take another path, but with most of the trees having Steele's marks, the team ends up in a ravine and they almost fall and the medicine is about to fall until Balto catches it and the weight ends the ravine from breaking and Balto falls with the medicine. The team sits up top for a while when they hear a howl and are worried that wolves will come to where they are then they see Balto climbing back up with the medicine. Kaltag cheers for Balto for his wolf benefits and they confidently let Balto lead again. After coming across the trees with Steele's marks, Balto uses his nose and gets Steele's scent then leads the team back home. When they get there, the doctor takes the medicine and gives it to the children, nursing them back to health. Balto is then seen with Jenna and they finally express their love for each other and Star congrats Balto for his heroic actions and when he suggests that they should build a statue of him, Kaltag says, "You said it."
