Dr. Ian Malcolm is the tritagonist of the 1993 film Jurassic Park and the protagonist of its 1997 sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, a minor character in the 2018 film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and a main character in its 2022 sequel Jurassic World: Dominion. He is a mathematician who specializes in a branch of mathematics known as "Chaos Theory". He was present on Isla Nublar during the Incident.
