Daisy is the tritagonist of Universal•Illumination's 2019 animated feature film The Secret Life of Pets 2.
Biography[]
Chloe and Snowball meet Daisy, who is standing in their apartment. She explains that she needs "Captain Snowball" (Snowball's daring persona) to assist her with rescuing a slim bengal tiger named Hue. While on a flight to the city, Daisy encountered him being held captive by the abusive circus owner, Sergei. Daisy and Captain Snowball sneak in and find the circus Hue is in. With much difficulty, mostly due to Sergei's black wolves, they free Hue from the circus. In the heat of the chase, Daisy accidentally drops her flower clip, which the wolves later use to track her down.
She and Snowball take Hue to Pops' apartment. Pops reluctantly lets Hue live there at first, but due to his destruction of the apartment afterwards, Hue is ejected and he, Daisy, and Snowball hide in Max's apartment. Soon after, Max's family returns from the trip and all but Max falls asleep. He finds the trio, but not after Sergei and his wolves track Daisy down. Sergei captures Hue and Daisy and goes off escaping in his train heading for the circus. Captain Snowball, Max, and Norman pursue the train while contacting Gidget for assistance in the chase. Gidget and the cats take the Crazy Cat Lady off in her car, in pursuit of the train.
Snowball, Max, and Norman defeat the wolves and Sergei's pet monkey, while freeing Daisy and Hue. Max, using the newfound bravery Rooster inspired in him, successfully infiltrates the train locomotive Sergei is in. The rest of the animals go and kick Sergei out of the train. Gidget, having taken him out with the Crazy Lady's car, offers Daisy, Hue, Max and Snowball a lift back home. Life resumes normally, with Liam's Mom saying goodbye to Liam as he enters kindergarten.
Appearance[]
Daisy is a medium Shih Tsu with brown hair and white markings, brown eyes, and a flower-shaped accessory tied in her hair.
Daisy sports two different hair accessories throughout the movie, both in a similar flower shape. The first accessory that is shown is a yellow flower with a red orange pistol, which looks to be made up of different sized beads. After Daisy loses the flower part at the circus during her run-in with Sergei's wolves, only the red orange elastic band is left behind in her hair. When she's at the park, she is shown wearing a new accessory that stays with her for the remainder of the movie. The flower was made using red orange fabric with a yellow polka dot pattern and a green button as its pistol, which matches the green elastic band holding the accessory in her hair/fur.
Personality[]
Daisy is flirty, brave, hasty, bold, and friendly. She will constantly try to defeat a villain, big or small, and look out for her friends the most. However, she is also brainy, as seen when she was saving Hue from the circus wolves and Sergei. First, she tangled the wolves together using the chains that tied them up, all the while dodging their attacks. With them out of the way, she successfully got the keys and unlocked Hue's cage. She also thwarted a lone wolf that was chasing Snowball by locking the wolf in a ride using the ride's controls and starting it, allowing her, Snowball, and Hue to escape. Back at Central Park, the same wolves got her scent and tracked her down, but luckily she got away by hiding and tricking the wolves and catching a ride on the back of someone's scooter to escape. Then, near the ending of the movie, she helped Snowball defeat Little Sergei, kicking him into a canon which blasts him off the train. Daisy is also caught saying flirty comments in a bonus video and in the scene where she asks snowball for his assistants on rescuing Hue.
