Curious George: Go West, Go Wild (a.k.a. Curious George 5) is a 2020 American direct-to-video animated musical comedy film and the fifth film in the Curious George series and the fourth one to be a direct-to-video release. It focuses on animals that escaped from a farm. It was released on Peacock on September 8, 2020 and was also released on Digital & DVD by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment on December 15, 2020.

Plot[]

The movie begins with George (Frank Welker) and Ted (Jeff Bennett) catching the train to Cousin Ginny's (April Stewart) farm for a relaxing weekend in the country, to George's excitement.

When they arrived and greeted by Ginny, who reunites Ted and meets George for the first time, they both meet a big cattle ranch-herder; Frank Stetson (Phil Morris) with his Stetson crew and a kindly-farmhand-wannabe cowboy; Emmett (Max Mittelman), who is catching Nelly, a little white lamb (who got out of her pin everytime) and Ginny's collie; Sadie (who is George's new friend).

Once reaching to Ginny's farm, George, with Sadie, meets the farm animals; Billy the Bull, Ricochet the retired-trick horse, Spittoon the llama and Frick and Frack the two stubborn donkeys. That night, Ginny is off for her vacation to see her mother, leaving Ted and George behind to watch after her farm and her barnyard animals with Emmett and Sadie.

The next day, George searches Nelly after breakfast and discovers a wagon inside the house bin, and pretends to ride it with Sadie, Ricochet, Nelly and Billy, who accidentally start off pushing the wagon down the hill while getting aboard and crashes into the fences, causing the farm animals stampeded away. Emmett calls into an idea to round 'em up the animals before Ginny returns, while Ted is nervous and unsure about the idea and soon to plan to phone-calls Frank to bring the animals back for them, but George and Emmett both rejected.

Meanwhile, Ginny, with her mother, arrived at the tropical-beach paradise, where they swam in the ocean and see a giant sea turtle and a "free room service" as well. Back with Emmett, he, with George for guidance, taught Ted how to fish for food as he planned to campout outdoors, how to yodel like a cowboy better, but until Emmett, without looking behind, sat on a porcupine on a log next to George, and how to ride Ricochet.

After learning and searching, George and Sadie both found Nelly the Lamb, and he and Ted followed her, being tossed over by Ricochet and Billy, and found the rest of Ginny's animals. As the storm hits afterwards, Emmett, even though he is afraid of ghosts, suggested to go to the Lone Pine Falls (aka the ghost city) to warm-shelter the animals. Inside, Ted, refusing to accept Emmett's suggestions, has enough and was strongly determined to phone-call Frank to pick up the animals and telling George that he is not a cowboy, neither to Emmett (who is shocked about Ted's words) and even himself. After the call, Ted tries to apologize and explain the reason, but George refuses to let him, feeling frustrated and walked away to the window as the rain begin to fall.

That night, Emmett, although feeling hurt by Ted, couldn't sleep because he is afraid of ghost, but he and George both end up finding Spittoon next to the piano. The next day, Ted read a book of the history of the Lone Pine Falls, while drinking tea, exclaiming that there's no such thing as ghosts, and finds out that rain make flood in Lone Pine Falls, so he swiftly declared to gather up the animals, George, Emmett and himself out of Lone Pine Falls fast before it's too late.

Outside during on a rainy request, Ted ironically saved the day by helping Emmett on the cart out of the mud, with the help of Frick, Frack and Ricochet, and escourted a frighten calf back to the herd. He got 'em all succeed-accomplished on time right as the flood begin to rise up, and Emmett thanked him for the help. Ted then reported him and George to go straight back to Ginny's farm, and Emmett curiously asked him that if they are going to wait for The Stetson crew to arrive, but Ted said that they will meet them all the way back, pridely saying to him that they can do this themselves, to Emmett and George's happiness. Emmett, riding back on Ricochet after recovery, tells Ted and George that they have to get across the huge river to get to Ginny's farm.

When reaching to the big river, Emmett revealed that he couldn't do this any longer as he failed to become a true cowboy, but Ted rejects him that he has been teaching him everything before yesterday. With Ted's perfect yodel, he, George and the brave Emmett all encourted all of the animals across the river, until Nelly fell in and Sadie saved her and Emmett saved them after a perfect lasso toss to the branch of the log and pulled them to safety. The trio eventually made to the other side of the river by the time Frank and the crew arrived after retrieving Ted's phone-call message. Frank was impressed of Emmett's lasso and gathering up the animals and said to him that if he wants to work on his ranch, it's all his, but Emmett, after looking back at Ted, George and the animals, refuses to take the offer and said that he is happy working at Ginny's farm, in which Frank insisted.
