Charlie Beary is the father of The Beary Family. His wife is Bessie Beary, and his children are Junior Beary and Suzy Beary.
He is a notorious penny-pincher, which forms much of the humor for the Beary series. He also has an extremely low opinion of Bessie's stodgy mother, and not for nothing.
