Barry is a minor character in UniversalIllumination's 2016 animated feature film Sing and its 2021 sequel. He is noted to be the getaway driver during heists. Big Daddy asks him if he is fine with Johnny taking over the role of being the getaway driver for the final heist, to which Barry reluctantly agrees.

Backgrounds[]

Personality[]

Barry and Stan display little personality besides loyalty to Big Daddy. Barry enjoys being the getaway driver, only halfheartedly agreeing to let Johnny drive during the ship heist. Neither Barry nor Stan bear ill will towards Johnny for inadvertently getting the rest of the gang arrested; both enjoyed his performance and cheer his father on when Big Daddy breaks out of jail to apologize.

Physical appearances[]

Barry is the only member of the Gorilla robbers to be the short and obese ones. He wears a black, collared short-sleeved shirt with an orange striped tie, as well as purple pants with blue suspenders.

Appearances[]

Sing[]

Barry alongside the gorilla robbers are introduced in the middle of a bank robbery. They manage to successfully evade the police. Later when Johnny came out after being selected to a singing contest, the Gorilla robbers plan to rob lots of gold next week, due to Johnny's failure to be punctual for his role as the getaway driver, Big Daddy and his gang are arrested and sent to Calatonia Prison. In prison, they watch Johnny's performance of "I'm Still Standing" with other prisoners, and Barry and Stan cheer Big Daddy on as he stages his jailbreak, wishing him a good luck to reconcile with his son.

Sing 2[]

Barry returns in the sequel after going on a work release along with Big Daddy and Stan and start a Community Food Service Work. They were called by his son Johnny to be the security to keep Jimmy Crystal out from reaching to Buster Moon while the gang puts on a show at the Crystal Tower Hotel.
