Altivo is a major character in DreamWorks Animation 's 2000 feature film The Road to El Dorado . He was once Cortés' horse, but when Tulio and Miguel are locked up in the brig, the latter talks Altivo into getting keys for them (though it was meant for him to get a pry bar) by offering him an apple.
